Welcome to PathLight Books of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. My goal is to provide quality books, and adult books that entertain, inspire, and teach. The stories are exciting and take place in wonderful settings, such as: the Grand Canyon and Kaibab National Forest in Arizona, Goblin Valley State Park in Southern Utah, and the Mojave Desert in California. The characters are likeable and as varied in their abilities and attitudes as anyone you're likely to meet. They face many exciting challenges in their lives and my hope is that you'll learn how to face your challenges by seeing how they met theirs.
"Due to health issues, this November 9th, 2024 will be Paula's last book signing. She will continue writing and is already working on a new book!"
The backgrounds have been well researched and are as accurate as possible. I have taught Tai Chi in Michigan's Upper Peninsula since 1999, so that one I didn't need to research as much.
Kaibab: The Deep Mountain, book 1 is an historical fiction that is placed within the Grand Canyon. While following some unknown creatures, Ankodosh slips on loose rocks and falls, breaking his leg. Taking stock of his situation, he finds he's quite a distance from his cabin, has no water, or even his rifle with him. He's lying, injured, on a mountain side with no protection. As night approaches, he wonders how he'll make it through the night, let alone get home. When he tries to set the broken leg, he faints from the pain, making him easy prey for any hungry predator; perhaps, even those he was following. ♦ Learn more

Be careful what you wish for, you may get it is wise advice, but when you're a child, you don't always see that. This fun book within the Goblin Valley State Park features Limpet, an orphaned Elf. He doesn't even think about it as he and Morningstar go on a quest to ask the Immortals for a piece of the Lifestone. All Limpet wants is for his adopted people, especially his new father, to be healthy and live long lives. When he gets his request, the results are not at all what he wanted. ♦ Learn more
